Addiction recovery is a largely internal process, but in order to make progress on your emotional and mental goals, it’s important to address some external factors as well. Addiction can have a negative impact on your ability to access certain vital resources, and trying to navigate the world alone while in recovery can make accessing these resources even more difficult.
At Neil Kennedy Recovery Center (NKRC), we’re proud to offer a Recovery Coach Program to help individuals who are in addiction treatment and/or early recovery gain access to the resources, services, and supports that will assist them in achieving long-term recovery. Lead by specialists in Youngstown who are familiar with the tri-county area, this program helps individuals address areas of their lives that have been impacted negatively by addiction, including housing, education, employment, and more
If you’re ready to receive the recovery support you need to live as your best self, don’t wait another day. Contact us to get started with your NKRC Recovery Specialist.
The NKRC Recovery Coach Program is a peer program that links a person new in recovery with a recovery coach. A recovery coach has personal experience with recovery and can offer “insider” knowledge to help clients navigate from a life of addiction to a life of recovery. Your Recovery Coach will serve as a personal guide and mentor and will help you to remove personal and environmental obstacles to recovery while linking you to the recovering community around you.
A recovery coach will not provide counseling, therapy, or other clinical professional services. Instead, the primary duties of a recovery coach include:
All of your recovery coach’s capabilities are designed to help coordinate your recovery and simplify your access to the resources you need. If you’d like to learn more about what a recovery coach can do for you, please feel free to give us a call -- our friendly and knowledgeable staff is happy to help.
The NKRC Recovery Coach Program is available to all adult men and women in the Mahoning Valley who are in addiction treatment and/or early recovery. If you have a desire to participate, you are eligible.
The NKRC Recovery Coach Program is housed at the Dick Riley Fellowship Hall, located at 2555 Rush Blvd. in Youngstown, Ohio. Centrally located in the tri-county area, this facility is well known within the recovery community and hosts more than 28 Twelve-Step (AA, NA, CA, and HA) meetings each week.
At NKRC, we’re all about removing barriers to care and making the process as simple as possible. Just use our online tool to request an appointment at a time that is convenient for you, and we’ll reach out to you to get you started.
